Who we aRE

My name is Caroline Millott I first started in the creative business world at the age of nineteen. I created and ran a successful fashion company in Ireland where I designed and produced my own style of clothing for fifteen years. I first took up yoga after the birth of my daughter in 1971. I was amazed at the benefits I received from my daily practice and how I got back into sharp. I would not say that I am a Yogin, but over the past 38 years I have always returned to Yoga when I have felt anxious, stressed or nervous because of the many benefits I experience.

I have always had an intrinsic desire to paint portraits expressing a person’s inner self and I began to paint in oils in my late thirties when going through a difficult period in my life. Although I had no training I always felt that my instinctive ability to paint came from my grand uncle Auguste Milliere, a portrait painter, who had been my great grandmother’s lover.

In my late forties, disillusioned with my London lifestyle, I decided to leave England and live in Spain, I arrived on the Costa del Sol in April 1999. After a short respite, I decided to continue with my interest in colour and design by creating a new business enveloping my unique style in painting and furniture. I visited the largest antique fair held in the U.K. and became very excited and inspired by what I saw in some of the early, 20th century English oak furniture, and the wonderful potential to transform them into pieces of colourful art. I had the pieces shipped to Spain and after five months of hard work, fun and determination restoring, painting and embellishing the furniture, I opened my Gallery called Camaleon in February 2001.

Several years ago while on a trip to India I started taking Ayurveda massage and got completely hooked. I have been returning to India ever since because of the wonderful benefits I have felt, my skin and hair soft and shining, aches and pains have disappeared completely. Ayurvedic massage makes me feel and look 10 years younger.
